I've been toying around with this idea for a long time and considered starting a whole new blog for it, but fuck it, I'm lazy. I also have a mouth like a sailor.

The next few months I'm going to have a lot of downtime so I figure that the most logical thing to do is start writing again. It's been a while. This will still be a place for random life musings, emo photos and playlists, but I'm going to start writing about my experience over the last two years with food. I have huge issues with the subject, both good and bad. Since my divorce I've dropped almost 90lbs, some of it healthy, some of it probably not so much. I've been really working on getting to a good, comfortable place with food. I'd like our relationship to be a healthy one. So, I started really getting into cooking.

By no means am I a great cook. I can follow a recipe, sometimes I improvise and it works out, sometimes I mistake powdered sugar for flour and my carrot cake fucks up, but all in all, I've been wanting to really branch out and develop a well-rounded knowledge of what makes what work, what tastes good and get a little experimental from time to time. Mostly this is for me, but every so often I'm sure I'll need to document some recipes and what not. Sometimes I'll probably rant, sometimes I may not make sense, but it's mine and it's something I need right now.
